We are committed to the quality and craftsmanship of our rugs. All Imperial Knots rugs include a
6-month warranty from the date of delivery against
manufacturing defects.
What’s Covered
This warranty covers defects in:
- Weaving or construction
- Materials or workmanship
- Issues that impact the rug’s structure, durability, or appearance
The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
What’s Not Covered (Exclusions)
This warranty does not cover damage or changes that occur as part of normal use or natural characteristics of handcrafted rugs.
Normal Characteristics (Not Defects):
- Natural fiber slubs or texture variation
- Minor weaving variances
- Loose yarn ends (“sprouting”)
- Initial shedding
- Light packaging odour
- Temporary fold/crease marks
- Size variation up to ±3%
- Colour variation due to natural dye lots
Wear & Use Over Time:
- Normal wear and tear
- Pile crushing or flattening
- Shading, watermarking, or texture change
- Fringe variations
- Sunlight/UV colour fading
Damage from Use or Environment:
- Stains and spills
- Pet-related damage
- Snags, pulls, burns
- Moth/insect damage
- Mold/mildew
- Water/chemical exposure
- Improper or harsh cleaning methods
Improper Placement or Handling:
- Use without a rug pad on hard floors
- Cutting, trimming, or altering the rug
- Use in commercial/high-traffic settings if the rug is rated for residential use
- Damage from heavy furniture without protective pads/casters
Third-Party or Storage Damage:
- Repairs or cleaning by non-approved providers
- Damage that occurs during storage after delivery
Transit Damage:
- Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery; claims outside this window are not covered.
How to Report a Concern
If you believe your rug has a manufacturing defect:
- Email customercare@imperialknots.com or call +91-95591-40222
- Provide your order number
- Share:
- At least 3-4 clear photos showing the rug and the concern
- A short video if the issue is structural or movement-related
What Happens Next
- We review the issue and may request further details or schedule an inspection.
- If the defect is covered, we will repair, replace, or refund the rug based on what we determine is the most suitable solution.
- If a replacement is issued, the warranty continues from the original delivery date, not renewed.
Shipping for Inspection
- The customer initially covers shipping for return evaluation.
- If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will reimburse or arrange pickup.
